Volunteers are an integral part of the Claremont Museum of Art. Dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers help the Museum fulfill its mission by generously contributing time, energy, and expertise to education, events, activities and public programs.

Docents are facilitators who serve the Museum and the community in the field of art education, awareness, and appreciation. They are knowledgeable - or willing to learn - and passionate about the arts. They are of all ages with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Docents prepare and provide information and insight on the art collections on view in our series of Artful Evenings. They engage visitors in conversation in a manner that promotes learning and encourages participation.

Event Volunteers work during museum events by assisting with a variety of activities including event check-in; hosting and assisting with the Family Art Activities for families and children.

How to Become a Volunteer

All interested individuals are invited to apply by calling 909 621-3200 or sending an email to info@claremontmuseum.org. We encourage and welcome a diversity of backgrounds and age groups (18 and older). We are forming an exciting and enthusiastic corps of volunteers from all walks of life.
