The TORSO by Harrison McIntosh

Production is underway on a limited edition of the TORSO created by renowned Claremont ceramist Harrison McIntosh. Cast from the original 1940s mold, each sculpture is 21 inches tall. McIntosh is supervising the creation of the 15 castings produced by Ceramic Art Professor John Hopkins at Riverside Community College using ceramic materials donated from Laguna Clay in the City of Industry. And to further enhance the value of this offering, the Sam Maloof Woodworking Studio is producing the wooden bases for each TORSO. Special thanks to David Armstrong for coordinating this exciting project.

Members of the Claremont Museum of Art have the opportunity to purchase the TORSO sculpture at a special member’s price of $5,000. All proceeds benefit the Claremont Museum of Art. Take advantage of this history -in-the-making opportunity through this special offer that you, your family, and friends will enjoy for a lifetime! To order your TORSO today, send an email to info@claremontmuseum.org or use the order form at click here to download the printable TORSO order form.
