At the Museum booth at Village Venture in downtown Claremont, Mary Hughes once again led children of all ages in a Fall-themed art activity. |

At the 91711 Festival we did an Art with Numbers project inspired by Karl Benjamin's use of numbers in his abstract paintings. ARTstART Teens guided kids to produce artworks using colored paper, stencils and pastels. |

Art in the Park for 4th of July Family Art Day |

We had a fun and creative Family Art Day during the Fourth of July Celebration in Memorial Park. Children created flags and explored their vision of a parade with mixed media. Thanks to Mary Hughes, Peggy Carlson and our many helpful volunteers. |

Family Art Booth at Phestival of the Arts, April 30, 2011 |

The Packing House patio became the canvas for the Museum's "Chalk It Up" project at the new City sponsored Phestival of the Arts. Under the direction of Mary Hughes, teens created a 20 ft. mural with art pastels and colored chalks, as others worked on the pavement or paper. Thanks to Marcella Swett for creating her sidewalk masterpiece. |

Family Art Booth at Village Venture, October 23, 2010

The Claremont Museum of Art had a booth at Village Venture offering a mask-making activity for children. Volunteers were busy non-stop from 9am to 4pm helping about 150 children with their imaginative creations. Special thanks to Mary Hughes and the dozen volunteers who made the day such a success. |

Claremont's Fourth of July Celebration in Memorial Park, 9am-4pm |

The Claremont Museum of Art had a booth at the Claremont Fourth of July Celebration in Memorial Park on July 4, 2010. Kids made paper Freedom flags and visitors learned about all the museum's new activities and projects.
